Thank you for your interest in GBM 6th Annual Security Whitepaper 2017
This whitepaper was prepared to formulate an analysis on the way different generations interact with the current state of information security and mobility, and whether GCC enterprises are ready for the next generation. In order to create and curate an informative document regarding the topics of mobility and security, we conducted an in depth research scanning three generations.
The annual Security Survey polled over 1400 people based in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait. The survey individually targeted Generations X, Y and Z to understand the varying digital behavior among these generations and subsequently, the capabilities of today’s companies to provide a secured and mobile work environment.
• Generation X: Those born between early to mid-1960 to 1979
• Generation Y: Those born in between 1980 and 1995 (also known as the Millennials)
• Generation Z: Those born in between 1996 to early 2000’s
These scans enabled us to draw a coherent conclusion determining the demographics of these generations and how that dictates their views and interactions with the digital revolutions.
The optimal course of action is an informative and progressive one, where tech giants continue to create superb products that are both mobile and secure to cater to the current and future generations and their expected-to-grow demands with each passing day toward the future.
