Abdullah has more than 19+ years' experience in information technology and security management. Abdullah Obtained his Bachelors in computer science form the USA and focused his career in information security and obtained important certifications such as MCSE, CISM and SABSA. He worked for the Ministry of Defense for 6 years in different specializations before he was appointed the first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the Chief of Staff Office (COSSAF) as a reward for his great achievements. Abdullah established the first information security management program in the ministry and initiated an awareness and training program for the staff covering multiple regions.
Abdullah joined the Information Technology Authority (ITA) in 2006 where he started his management role as a director and then as a General Manager for the Information Security Division supervising a national program to enhance information security within the government of Oman as part of the National eGovernment program. To achieve this objective, Abdullah has recruited and developed the first national information security expert group that consisted of 26 experts with different academic certifications including masters and PHDs. The program currently provides 7 critical Security Managed Services to more than 400 government departments. These services include providing consultancy and advisory services to all government organizations in information security strategy, organizations structure and technical architecture. With a career shifted to management, Abdullah obtained his MBA in 2013 from the UK giving him a new perspective to management that is business driven which enabled him to have stronger management skills even outside the technical domain. Abdullah came back to take a bigger responsibility within ITA where he earned the trust of the board of directors to be appointed as the General Manager for the Infrastructure Division supervising major national projects such as the Government datacenter, the national contact center, the national payment system and the Government Cloud.
Abdullah is also a steering committee member in many national critical programs such as the Public Key Infrastructure, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, national cyber security and Smart City
Since mid-2017, Abdullah started a new career journey by joining the national telecom operator of Oman (Omantel) as a GM for the corporate security division with a responsibility to establish SOC services covering both IT and Telecom domain as well as other Managed Security services including security advisory. Key projects included the implementation of a signaling firewall, LTE Gateway, Network compliance and Advanced Persistent threats protection. To govern the security program, Abdullah has contributed to the certification of the ISO 27001 and PCI. Other governance frameworks established was IoT and NFV frameworks based on GSMA frameworks.
Ayman leads the sales and business development initiatives of Cisco security solutions and consulting services across Middle East. He has helped customers achieve their Information Security business requirements by leveraging Cisco as a trusted Security partner and leveraging Cisco unique capabilities on delivering a threat-centric approach to secure their organizations.
Prior to joining Cisco he worked for Symantec and other security vendors on the capacity of "Principal Security Consultant" promoting information security business to Telecommunication Providers, Financial Institutions and Public Sector (Military, Education & Government).
Ayman has more than sixteen years of experience on information security consulting services, solutions and Managed Security Services (MSS) and has also been a guest speaker at various events, seminars and client engagements and he has several information security industry certifications.
Hani Nofal is the Vice President of Intelligent Network Solutions (INS), Security and Mobility at GBM, responsible for leading the INS organization across the Gulf and Pakistan with responsibilities focusing on customer satisfaction, profitable growth and building a strong solutions and services portfolio
In his role, Hani is in charge of the development of strategies for maintaining and growing relationships with partnerships and alliances. Additionally, Hani leads the GBM Cyber Security Practice across the organization.
Joe Ruthven joined IBM in 1992 as a system engineer in the areas of OS/2 and IBM Personal Systems. Since January 2012, he has been leading the business successfully in the region as Business Unit Executive for IBM Security Solutions in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey. Joe has been instrumental in assisting large financial institutions to adopt state of the art security solutions that is assisting these organizations to stay ahead of the ever-evolving cyber security threat. Key customers include Standard Bank, First National Bank, Nedbank, Riyadh Bank, Saudi British Bank, Yapi Kredi Bank, Garanti Bank, Zenith Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Gulf Bank, HSBC Turkey and more. Key solutions adopted by these institutions include security operations and response, identify and access management, data security, mobility and end-point management as well anti-fraud solutions especially aimed at the online and retail banking environments. Joe holds an Honors degree (Bachelors of Commerce) in Information Technology.
Previously, he was the Business Development Manager for the Bahrain Economic Development Board, which is dynamic public agency that is responsible for attracting inward investment into Bahrain, enhancing the investment climate and driving economic development. He focused on promoting Bahrain's financial services sector and attracting new investments into this sector. Successes include expanding existing companies and attracting new ones such as banks, asset & wealth managers, insurers and ancillary services providers.
He also worked with existing financial players, financial associations, central bank, lawyers and others to drive development in the sector and make it more conducive and attractive for business. His most significant work to date was devising and implementing a countrywide strategy to drive the growth of the sector through a collaborative approach with key players in the sector.
Before joining the Bahrain Economic Development Board, he worked for Ernst & Young where his work centered on conducting feasibility and market studies, operations plans, strategic documents and private placement memorandums for a wide array of clients. He also led the implementation of a governance, risk and compliance platform in the Bahrain office and trained all advisory.
Prior to that, he worked in SEI Investments in London focusing on UK and European Equities within the Investment Management Unit.
He has a MSC from Imperial College London and a BSc from the University of Exeter (first class honors).
Sr. Director & Chief Security Officer Palo Alto Network
Mr. Haider Pasha is Sr. Director and Chief Security Officer for EMEA & LATAM at Palo Alto Networks. Prior to this role, Mr. Pasha spent 5 years at Symantec working as CTO and Systems Engineering Director for Emerging Markets. He has been partnering with CISOs across the industry, executing together on a multi-year architecture strategy across the geography including Cloud Transformations, Autonomous SOC, and Application-Centric Networking. He is a trusted advisor to Palo Alto’s strategic customers and partners, helping them become more competitive and innovative while enhancing their Cyber Resilience Strategy. A key area of specialty for Mr. Pasha is around architecting Security Operations Centers (SOC), designing Threat Intelligence Platforms, and helping customers adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and local government regulations. Prior to joining Symantec, Mr. Pasha spent 15 years at Cisco covering various senior positions in Silicon Valley and as CTO for Cisco Africa.
Mr. Pasha completed his MBA from Manchester Business School, UK and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, USA. Mr. Pasha’s successes come from being able to bind advanced technical concepts to commercial, people and process requirements, while maintaining a balanced perspective with the business objective in mind. He is also Palo Alto Networks go-to public Security spokesperson.

Amer Sharaf is the Director of Compliance Support and Alliances at the Dubai Electronic Security Center based in the Emirates of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Amer has accumulated a diverse set of skills in his career in the Information Technology field successfully delivering key applications and infrastructure related projects.
His experience also extends to deploying resilient and highly available data centers catering to key critical systems. Amer has considerable experience on city level systems and adopting several disruptive technologies and ensuring that key security principles and technologies are adopted.
General Manager, GBM Abu Dhabi
As the General Manager for GBM Abu Dhabi and Yemen, Miguel Khouri has a track record for strengthening and enriching relationships with a wide-range of customers and industries.
With over two decades in IT Consultancy, Business Management, and Business Development across the GCC, Khouri’s leadership has consistently delivered business growth for GBM Abu Dhabi. His guidance in value-added IT and business solutions provides tangible results for a host of public and private clients in the government, banking and finance, telecommunications, oil and gas, education and retail sectors.
As General Manager, Khouri has nurtured GBM Abu Dhabi local expertise and in-depth knowledge of the market, and has helped to develop a collaborative network of offices across the region that enables clients to benefit from best-in-class IT consultancy.

Fady is a Cisco veteran with a proven track record of delivering sales across the region for more than 17 years. He has worked in several roles including East Region Operations Director for Cisco Middle East, General Manager for Cisco UAE, Enterprise Sector Regional Sales Manager and Service Provider Sector (Telcos) Regional Sales Manager.
Prior to joining Cisco, he was Regional Manager at Nortel (MEA), and Product Manager at Ericsson and held international long-term assignments in Sweden, Greece, Indonesia and Egypt.
